Location: Pise Panjrapur, Thane District

This 545 KW Solar Power plant project undertaken by VEMPL inclu des installation of Solar PV Modules on 4 different roofs of the complex which is the largest drinking water treatment and supply facility in Asia with a capacity of 4.55 lakhs m3 water per day. As Mumbai needs 3,500 million litres water per day, it can be estimated that it consumes 10 -12 million units of electricity a month through its 100 KV direct supply line from torrent power for any Mumbaikar to drink water directly from tap.
